Khawar has always been inspired by Old Masters who painted prior to 18th century:†the magic that they weaved as they blended colors and the magnificent and masterful strokes that they used motivated him; the minuteness with which they delved deeply into details; the mind-blowing command that they had over human anatomy. It was all totally fascinating for him.
Contemporary figurative work also captivated him. He hardly had the time to do serious art and yet he reproduced some beautiful work or original work with the inspiration and intellect that stimulated him.
He copied Christopher E. Harrison, RubÈn Reehorst and other European artists.
When there was no balls of such ventures here in Pakistan, we opened up this
first ever HotShop in 1993, almost 25 years back.
